Is it possible that your diet is causing you to be in depression? Or is that just one more thing to be depressed about?

This may not be exactly how your traditional doctor views depression and yeast. You would most likely be told that there’s no scientific connection. What is Candida?
The yeast diet is designed to help you cure candida. Candida is a yeast infection that is most often associated with the vaginal area. Candida can appear other places as well. It often shows up in the mouth. This is referred to as thrush. It is difficult to eat when you have thrush because of the pain that is part of the yeast infection. Foods to Eat
It is good to eat yeast diet vegetables like cabbage, bell peppers, and broccoli. Okra, celery, string beans, cucumber, lettuce, radish, garlic, onion and tomatoes can all be eaten. There are many more vegetables that you can enjoy as well. Eat plenty of vegetables while on the yeast diet.

The Zone diet is created by Barry Spears, PhD a former scientist working with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Unlike other diets that are considered as fads, the Zone Diet is categorized among those that are acceptable to most experts.
What is the science behind the Zone diet?
According to the Zone Diet website, the secret behind its promised success is focused on stopping what they call Silent Inflammation – a chronic, systemic, low level inflammation that is below the perception of pain. Since this condition is chronic, its effects can be seen systemically like obesity, chronic diseases and decreased mental and physical performance. Dr. Sears believe that the zone’s diet plan can help cease Silent Inflammation and its effects.
The book also states that Americans are predisposed to developing obesity not because diets or lifestyle, but because of their genes. The Zone diet helps deactivate these genes by preventing Silent Inflammation.
What makes the Zone diet?
Basically, the Zone Diet follows the formula 40:30:30 – that means each meal should contain 40% Carbohydrates, 30% Healthy protein and 30% Fat. One of the biggest criticisms of this diet is that it is too complex to follow.

Here are some of the guidelines of the Zone Diet:
-You are allowed 2 snacks per day, each containing a serving of protein.
-The carbohydrate in each meal should be two times as much as the amount of your protein intake. -Furthermore, your carbohydrate sources must be those coming from fruits, vegetables, beans and whole grains. Nevertheless, unfavorable carbohydrates such as rice, breakfast cereals, pastas and bagels can be eaten occasionally.
Each meal must also contain protein – the size of a small chicken breast or the palm of your hand – three times a day. Fat is also put into the mix provided that it is the good kind. Examples include olive oil, fish oils, avocados and nuts.
There are also some basic rules to live by the zone diet:
-Eat a healthy breakfast only within one hour after waking up.
-Your meals must be eaten at an interval of four to six hours.
-Eat a full meal within two and two and a half hours after having your snacks – and yes, it means you have to eat even if you don’t feel hungry at all.
-Drink eight refreshing glasses of water in a day.
-Plan your meals starting with low fat, then high protein content. Don’t forget to add some good carbohydrates like veggies and fruits plus healthy fats like nuts or avocado.
How do you know you are in the “Zone”?
Dr. Sears says that you can tell if you are in the zone if you assess your hunger level before each meal and find that you are not hungry and have a clear mind. It means you have achieved a certain level of balance in your diet.
Compared to other diets, the Zone diet is what you may call “forgiving”. It allows a wide range of food choices, and only asks you to consume in proportions and not totally eliminate a food group. If mixed with proper exercise and lifestyle, this diet may help you get in the zone.
