I just got the elliptical today and was very pleased with the whole process. I ordered it on a Monday and it arrived on Friday. A shipping person called the day before to choose a time of delivery and I picked a 12 to 5 window. They arrived at 12:05! The elliptical was easy to assemble – took about an hour by myself – and is much sturdier and much quieter than I expected. I live in a 1-bedroom condo and was afraid it would dominate my place but it fits nicely in front of my sliding glass door on a rubber pad to protect the floor (might not be necessary for you but I have hardwood and wanted to be extra careful). It is so quiet! I was afraid my downstairs neighbor would object but there is no vibration at all. I am really surprised! I will be able to use it first thing in the morning without disturbing anyone. The computer control board is more elaborate than I expected and while I think it is a little more than I need (I like to simply choose a manual workout), it does have a dozen or so to choose from. The ride is smooth but if I had any negative feedback it would be that the one at the gym (a huge cybex elliptical) is smoother… but for this price, you cant beat this one. I’ve only used it once so far so if anything changes I will update my review but this has been a very pleasantly surprising experience. Absolutely no buyer’s remorse , just eagerness to keep working out.

I had very high hopes from this elliptical because it was Consumer Reports best buy and had generally positive web reviews. However

- The plastic flywheel casing was significantly cracked with some shards coming off. It didn’t affect the functionality, so I decided to not deal with the hassle of returning it.

- The computer’s manual (amazing copied in three different books!) is very, very sparse. I suppose I was able to eventually figure out the basic functionality, save for things like how to set the time. E.g. it talks about a “recovery” key to determine your fitness. I am F06, but the manual does explain if that’s good or bad.

- The front post started wobbling significantly after 3-4 hours of workout. This one really scares me. I feel like I am wearing the screws that attach post to the base with every stride. I am going to try to get it repaired.

What can I say? You get what you pay for.

I’m upset that since I made my purchase, the price was lowered by $100.00. I did have to pay to have it assembled, but as much as I hate exercising, I very much enjoy the LifeCore elliptical trainer. The computer was a bit of a challenge, but I did figure it out. I definitely recommend it.

I actually own the lower version the 980 and love it. I have had it for two years now and it still works great. This machine is sturdy, quiet, and easy to move out of the room. I am 5’3″ and I can tilt it and move it to another room. You can’t adjust the pedals to go higher or lower, but can adjust the intensity of the pedaling. Great workout in conjunction with other excercise. High recommendation.

saw that this model was highly rated by consumer reports. for the money, it is an excellent unit. doesn’t take up much room compared to other ones and it is just about silent when you are on it. very easy to put together and shipped very securely. Very happy with this product.
