For a compact machine, it is very sturdy and does the job. I am 5’6″ and I can walk and jog on it comfortably. What I love about it is that although it is a heavy machine, it’s just lite enough that I am able to move it from one room to another and lay it down or lift it upright if necessary for easy storage. The running belt is a little narrow but that was expected since it is a compact treadmill. This machine takes up very little space. I am very happy with my purchase.

I bought this treadmill to keep up with my exercise program during the hot summer months, and when the pollen was too thick. I bought it sight unseen based on reviews on Amazon (and now I am paying back the courtesy). I paid the extra money for a treadmill that required absolutely no assembly, and I have no regrets about that, at all! Better an extra $100 or $200 in convenience than $300 or $400 in marital counseling I say!

As for the treadmill itself, I only have two criticisms. The actual walking span is a tad bit narrow. Twice, in my first week, I slipped off and had to catch myself (but was able to recover just fine). I must have a wide walking stride or something, because it is a fairly generous walking surface. Now I walk with one hand on the bar at all times, and have had no further problems. The second problem is that I smell a slight rubber odor when I have walked more than 25 minutes at 3.6 speed (0 incline). I do this several times a week. I am not sure if it is from the need for the oil lubricant (which I came to this site to buy), or something else. I will try the oil first and then possibly the mat, although I put my treadmill on non-carpeted floor (as recommended).

Otherwise, this has been an excellent purchase that I am very happy I made. Sure, I could have asked around to the neighbors for an old treadmill stuck in their basement, but I wanted one that was relatively lightweight, folded up (although mine has yet to be folded), had good speed and incline capabilities, and a warranty.

My biggest consideration when looking at treadmills was being able to store it. I tried the TR200 out at the local fitness store and was satisfied with it’s performance for my use. It came well packed, the delivery service Amazon used was very good. I had it up and running in less than 30 minutes (including reading the directions). There is no assembly, but it does need to be leveled.

The heart rate monitor is inaccurate to the point of being not usable (But for me that isn’t a deal breaker.) I haven’t tried the speakers – I play my stereo or t.v. while jogging.

The top speed is 8 mph and I don’t think this is designed for a serious runner, but for anyone who does a casual jog or wants a vigorous walk it’s fine. Be aware the belt is narrow, for me it’s fine but my husband has to pay attention when he jogs so he doesn’t bump the sides. Again I would try to test it out at a store if you think this may be an issue for you. Overall a great product for the price. Oh and Amazon’s price was 100.00 less than in the store.

This treadmill was exactly what I had hoped for, compact yet durable enough for running (6mph). It was ready to go out of the box, I didn’t need to make any adjustments. It’s very easy to fold and move as well. I am small, 5 ft, so I am not sure how it would work for a larger person since the running belt is not that wide. But for me, it’s perfect!!

I wanted a compact treadmill. I don’t really have alot of space. This treadmill fits the bill. I like the fact that it came fully assembled. No problems, I was a little nervous after reading reviews of horizon treadmills. The fact that it has a motorized incline is a definite plus. Others like (horizon) I’ve looked at had a manual incline. It is very strudy, and heavy. For that reason, I only put it away when I have too. I would give this treadmill two thumbs up!!!LifeSpan Fitness TR200 Fold-N-Stor Compact Treadmill
