Item arrived on time, took about 2.5 hours to put together. I HIGHLY suggest using an allen wrench attachment on your power drill for assembly. Something we thought of about 1.5 hours into assembly! Makes assembly much faster. The machine is smooth, screen is nice and bright, haven’t yet played any games but it offers strong resistance.

I stripped out a couple of the bolts that hold the 2 main pieces of the frame together while assembling it but it’s holding up just fine so far. It’s quieter and smoother than my previous Proform. I have used it 15 times in the last 30 days for 50 minutes each workout. There is only a slight side to side “wobble”, but it seems to be the frame flexing and not a “leveling” issue. The movement only about 1/8 of an inch or so. I don’t feel it but can see it in the mirror in the workout room. Not a problem. All in all, I am pleased with it.

The proForm Elliptical Trainer with gameFit Technology was a big disappointment. Assembly was harder than it had to be because most of the screws were hex screws that stripped when pressure was applied, so all the screws and holes had to be lubricated before fastening. Some bolts could not be made to go flush where they were to go. After assembled we could not get it balanced with the feet provided and had to use spare wood lying around to keep it from rocking. The display has revolutions instead of a useful distance traveled like kilometers or miles. The games were small and difficult to play because of their size. If you switch between modes (games, preprogramed, and manual) your time and calories reset. The MP3 dock and speakers worked well. We chose to return it and it cost us $100 shipping.

My wife and I have had our elliptical for about a month now. Neither of us had used an elliptical before so we don’t have much to compare it to.

When the box came, it was really heavy and it was a workout in itself to set it up. It took about 2-3 hours. We haven’t gotten it quite leveled yet correctly but it is really solid. We bought it for the game fit technology since we thought the video game could be motivation but when working hard, it is hard to stay focused on the game. Mainly, we use the speakers for pod casts that distract us. We haven’t worked our way up to the most difficult workout programs yet but are surprised at how easy all the 20 minute ones are. They only go to resistance level 5 out of 12. I guess for the more difficult workouts you have to spend more time.

Overall, we are really pleased that it is actually fun to use and making us much more fit.

Once it’s put together it seems very sturdy. But took 2 people 3 hours to put together. Almost everything is put together with an allen wrench, I recommend buying a nice Allen wrench with a handle to get some leverage as some of these pieces are very hard to screw in all the way.

I recommend 1) nicer Allen wrench, 2) exacto knife to get it out of the box and make sure you have an adjustable wrench or you may never get the pedals attached firmly enough which causes them to wobble.

I just stepped off of it and it was great, so if you can handle the assembly it’s a good product. The pulse handle bars seem flimsy, but everything else seems very sturdy.
