This didnt work for me. Maybe because everytime I turned it on I fell asleep. Good way to fall asleep if you are having trouble. Bad way to lose weight.

After that I read several books and this looks like the good one and like to recommend. It is well written and helpful.

It is great for relaxing you and getting one to sleep however … it had the opposite effect on me … I gained weight!!! I followed the instructions to a tee. Not too happy!

There are a couple of problems with this audio book. The worst problem is that it does not work. The words within the hypnotherapy session refer to low carb instead of specific examples. For example, “you will prefer low carb foods” – the problem I have with this is, your unconscious mind would then tell you to go for “low carb” instead of celery, green beans, lean meats, etc… It would be more effective if it suggested, “you will prefer green vegetables and chicken”, “white bread and potatoes make you feel sick” etc…..instead of just “low carb.” Its like this was a “cookie cutter” tape and they just changed the words to low carb – very disappointing.
The second problem is that the person on the tape has a lisp. The first couple of times listening are not too bad but after a while you really want to choke this guy!
I did give this a good run though as I hate throwing away my money. I tried it for two weeks with no effect and then gave up.

I used to be a sucker for pizza and hamburgers. And my body looked it. I am very small (4’9″…about the size of an 11 yr old child),plus I am small-boned. After quitting adult ballet classes because I moved too far away, my weight ballooned from 87 lbs to 120 lbs. Obese for my body size. I went from a Size 0 to a Size 8 (remember…I’m very short and small boned). And I had fat hanging all over me. My waist went from 20″ to 29″. My family doctor said “Lose weight”. I tried dieting by following instructions in books. No discipline for that. So I decided to try hypnosis. I downloaded this guided hypnosis CD onto my iTunes, then uploaded it onto my little iPod Shuffle which is small enough to take to bed with me, because I can clip it onto my night clothes. I plug my ears with my little noise cancelling headphones, plug my headphones into my little iPod Shuffle, turn it on, then fall asleep to Trevor’s voice on this CD. After a couple of days, I noticed I wanted something light for breakfast, instead of bacon, eggs and toast or a big muffin and coffee. I wanted a small bowl of oatmeal, of all things….haven’t had oatmeal in a long time. I also stopped drinking coffee and purchased Rooibos red tea, which is naturally sweet tasting. Started to eat more salad-based meals. Started shopping for fresh fruit (cantaloupe, kiwi, watermelon, pineapple, pears, blueberries, strawberries. Started eating less red meat (although I do love a nice steak). I know the hypnosis is working, because in addition to choosing low cal, wholesome fresh foods when I shop for groceries, I’m losing weight. It’s been 2 months now and I’ve lost about 8 lbs, without exercising much…3-4 times a week, I’ll take a walk around my neighborhood (average a mile or so). I’ve added Lisa Guyman’s CD to my night time iPod Shuffle program. So now, while I’m asleep, I’m being hypnotized to lose weight and being reprogrammed to balance my chakras and develop my Reiki energy and am healing myself…all this while I’m sleeping. I feel much better about myself and feel much more serene. And I’ve gotten over my chronic insomnia. Self-hypnosis is the way to go…it costs hardly anything, compared to other forms of therapy. Highly recommend Trevor’s CD. I like his voice. Pair it with Lisa Guyman’s CD. You’ve got nothing to lose except weight and bad habits.
