Enjoy an efficient full-body workout without heading to the gym with the Sole E25 elliptical trainer. Boasting a heavy 23-pound flywheel, a high gear ratio not found on most comparable models, and a pair of upper body handles, the E25 delivers an extremely smooth workout with plenty of top-end resistance. Users will also appreciate the unique oversize and adjustable foot pedals, which were designed in collaboration with a leading physical therapist and sports enthusiast. The pedals are not only extra large, but also feature a 2-degree inward slope that reduces the ankle and knee stress that’s common in other elliptical machines. And thanks to the stationary handle bars with built-in pulse sensors, it’s a breeze to monitor your heart rate as you exercise (a chest strap is also included for highly accurate wireless monitoring).
Workout specifics include 16 resistance levels, seven total programs, and a 20-inch stride length. Perhaps the handiest feature from a user perspective, however, is the easy-to-use electronic console, which integrates a blue backlit LCD display, a cooling fan, and a water bottle holder. The E25, which offers a maximum weight capacity of 325 pounds, carries the following warranties: lifetime on the frame, three years on all parts and electronics, and one year on the labor.

About Elliptical Trainers
Elliptical trainers represent the next wave of advancement in low-impact cardiovascular exercise machines and continue to grow in popularity. By simulating motions experienced through walking, stepping, cycling, and skiing, elliptical machines allow for a smooth and fluid motion while building strength in the arms and legs. Similar to the exercise position for treadmills, elliptical trainers are used by standing in an upright position while holding the handrails of the machine. With elliptical trainers, however, your feet remain in the foot pedals throughout the exercise regimen and circulate in a smooth and seamless motion, resulting in little to no impact on the knees, back, and hips.
Elliptical trainers are compatible for all ages and fitness levels and allow you to select the difficulty level through the incline and intensity settings. Additionally, elliptical trainers allow you to determine the complexity of your workout based on your needs, all while listening to music, watching television, or reading a magazine while exercising in the comfort and safety of your own home.
Although different types of elliptical trainers offer an assortment of features, many of them include an array of challenging programs, forward and reverse directional movement, EKG grip pulse handles, a lightweight portable design with easy fold-up capability, and a monitor displaying calories burned, distance, speed, time, and heart rate. Other types of exercise machines, namely treadmills and bikes, offer excellent cardiovascular exercise and muscular training for the legs in a forward-motion exercise. Elliptical trainers take this to the next level by offering an upper and lower body workout with dual motion, challenging and diverse programs, and a low-impact exercise machine that won’t strain sensitive joints.

I enjoy the Sole E25, but it’s still not quite up to gym quality for the price.

Assembly took about 2 hours. Recommend a metric socket set to make assembly easier. Very smooth and quiet operation.

This Elliptical is smooth and steady. I love the different types of workout program as well as the options to vary the step incline and the resistence levels. Two things that I wish were chaged are: You cannot shut off the machine, unless you unplug it. You have to wait 20 min and then it will automatically shut off. I have used several elliptical trainers and the caloric reading appears to be very low compared to others. For example, the average calories burned on most machines and by most caloric workout charts is 300 calories for a 1/2 hr on an elliptical machine, however, this one reads about 160-180 for the same workout.

Prompt shipment carried this monster upstairs and quick and easy assy. Started to use the equip within 30 minutes. We used the product infrequently for about 60 days and my wife said it was making a clicking noise. The rollers hit the frame when used aggresively. I called customer service and a replacement part was shipped.. Recieved 3 days later, installed, no change. Called again, rep came out to replace arms. Only one was replace because that wasn’t the problem. He ordered the entire bottom rails frame and all. It came in about 4 days later. Called the rep and returned 3 days later. Replaced the parts and seemed ok. Not when used aggresively. Still clicks. Now had too long for return. Amazon said go to company, company no responce. Product works BUT it clicks, freaks me out.

I have been to so many stores both online and off to research the pros and cons over a very wide variety of elliptical within the last 8+ months. I recently purchased the Sole E25 and use it, if time allows, on a daily basis. For the price that was advertised I believe that this product cannot be beat. The original price that I found online and at the store was a little over a thousand and was advertised as being half off. I went to the manufacturer website to find that this product is primarily sold from Dicks’s Sporting Goods and the company has been very helpful with not just my elliptical purchase. I have owned said elliptical for about 2 weeks now and as long as you keep it clean, both exterior dust and rail buildup, and you will have little to no problems.
My Pro’s and Con’s are as follows:
Pros
* Durable – has taken a few hits (literally) from the family and not a dent.
* Solid Stability – Unit doesn’t rock from side to side with your movement as some other models.
* User Friendly – You can choose between 10 different programs including 2 customizable ones as well as 2 heart rate programs.
* Price = Quality = a real budget model that feels like a solid buy.
* Challenging – I found a different set of challenges with the resistance levels for this unit to help better my workout.
* Adjustable – Both foot pads as well as the rail angle help to change up the workout and keep your body guessing and challenged.
* Warranty – 1 year labor as well as 3 years for parts, brake, and electronics. Lifetime warranty for the frame.
Cons

* Weight = heavy to move (200+ lbs)
* Fan – not that it is really necessary.
* Storage Area – Limited area and in a somewhat inconvenient placement (behind heart pulse sensors) so it is hard to get a 1ltr water bottle in and out without a possible drop.
* Adjustments – The only bad part about said adjustments is that they are manual adjustments and have to be done when you’re off machine.
